Neutral
Zelda has a very versatile neutral and you will find that no two Zeldas play the same. There is no optimal Zelda which is much more fun and lets you be creative and spontaneous. Although some playstyles are better than others in specific Match-ups.
Aggressive |
This Zelda will approach you and not give you any space. There will be Jabs and Down Tilt all over your shield. They will be run in an always be on the offense. Their goal is to get in and rack up damage quickly and get the stock. They will give you no time to breath and will be focused on the kill at high percents. They will really go for some ballsy stuff. This will be good against characters that can't deal with rushdown or in Match-ups where you can easily be rushed down. Good examples are Palutena, Duck Hunt, and Captain Falcon.

Campy |
This playstyle consists of spaced Phantoms and Din's Fires. They will want their space and zone you out. They will rack on damage slowly and be patient and will be as safe as they can. Up close they will Forward Smash and Forward Tilt to get some space. They will take their time to net the kill. This will be good against characters that easily get zoned out and characters that can't deal with projectiles. Good examples would be Peach, Luigi, and Wario.
|
Defensive |
These Zeldas will be in shield a lot and always be alert for a punish. No reckless moves will get through them without a consequence. They will only approach if they absolutely need to. They will use Nayru's Love a lot to combat offense and go for more guaranteed things than risky, but rewarding. Most of their kills will be off of hard punishes. This are good against characters with unsafe moves and approaches, and characters that won't get high reward off of a grab. Good examples are Fox, Jigglypuff, and Pikachu.
